Ruben Fazio Candidate for November 4th School Board Election in Ward 3

School board elections are important to everyone. It is not only important, but also vital that your vote be cast and made to count. I have a long history of serving the schools of LaSalle. I have been involved on school committees, served as a commissioner at two school boards, and have represented ward 3 for two terms as Commissioner and one term as Parent Commissioner with the LBPSB.

Your vote is your voice and I urge you to elect the candidate who has demonstrated commitment, involvement and knowledge of board policies and practices.

Under my watch LaSalle has seen; bussing for students in the secondary level, a 4 year old kindergarten program, the expansion of Children’s World Academy, elimination of enrolment capping of the IBO program at LCCHS, and an increase of support services in our schools that exceed minimum entitlements.

I will continue to ensure that a strong link between, governing boards, our community and the Lester B. Pearson School Board is maintained. I will support the creation of and insist on the required funding for quality programs necessary to help our gifted and special needs students succeed. I will continue to ensure that a safe school environment is provided for all students.

The commissioner representing our community, schools, children and parents in these crucial next few years must be accessible, and, of even more importance, informed, knowledgeable, and respected.

These are qualities I can provide, a promise I can deliver on.
