Youngsters age 13 and under are invited to the opening day of the Summer Reading Club at L’Octogone library on Saturday, June 9, 1:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. Arts and crafts, an exhibition of books and an amusing game are all in store for them, giving them a preview of the outstanding summer that they are about to enjoy.
On that afternoon, young library members will have a chance to register in the Club, free of charge. The registration deadline is Friday, July 20. At the end of the summer season, a number of participation prizes will be awarded, including a beautiful bicycle, compliments of Pierre Poulet of Cycle et sports Robert.
ImagineImagine is this year's theme at the library's Summer Reading Club. Young readers will be prompted to explore the world of fantasy and the supernatural. Summer 2012 at L’Octogone will be simply… magic! Children who become members of the Club will receive a poster, a booklet of activities and surprises, all bundled together in an amusing reading kit.
Jeudis inimaginablesL’Octogone's staff has organized wonderful activities, with Le monde de l’imaginaire as the theme. Activities such as arts and crafts, picnics and stories, July 5 – August 9.
