The week of August 17th was the week that 90 friends & family from Chateauguay, LaSalle, Montreal and many other locations got together on the Carnival Legend sailing to the Western Caribbean.
Mark Lucas & wife Wendy Floyd from Chateauguay started planning this trip more than 15 months ago and was a huge success. So much planning ahead of time was the key to a successful week with a large group. The initial plan was to get 30 to 40 people together for the trip but the group grew to 90 within no time at all especially with the anticipation built up month over month prior to the trip. New friendships were made, fun was had and many beers, daiquiris and pina-coladas were consumed on the Lido deck by the pool and around the ship. It seemed that everywhere on the ship people went, they bumped into folks from our group which added to the fun and made it easier for the first time cruisers in the group to get around the ship.
Mark & Wendy started to plan the next cruise for 2010 the day after they returned from this trip as getting through the “cruise blues” can be difficult to get back into daily routines. Every member of the group were all ready to book the next cruise the day they all returned as the experience was out of this world and so full of great memories. A BIG “Thank You” to the entire group that contributed to the help in the planning and organization to ensure the entire group enjoyed their dream vacation on the cruise.
