Official inauguration of Michael Vadacchino’s electoral office

Benoit Labonté, Leader of Vision Montreal, and Michael Vadacchino, candidate for borough councillor in the Cecil-P.-Newman District, officially opened the electoral office in preparation for the by-election which will take place in LaSalle on December 14th. The electoral office is located at 1465, boulevard Shevchenko.

For Benoit Labonté, the citizens of the Cecil-P.-Newman District deserve a dedicated borough councillor who will represent them with great conviction. “Today marks the beginning of a new relationship with the citizens of LaSalle. I believe that with your support, Michael Vadacchino will be able to successfully run this campaign and honour his promises concerning the issues that are dear to you,” said Mr. Labonté. “Mr. Vadacchino is your candidate and I invite you to get involve now; his voice will be yours when we win this election,” claimed the Leader of Vision Montreal.

Michael Vadacchino added: “Next December 14th, we will give LaSalle’s citizens the change they have been waiting for, especially since the quality and quantity of services they receive have decreased. I will talk to citizens about the issues that concern them, which are the abolition of the surtax, the importance of increasing security measures for the protection of our children and elders, and the obligation of insuring a transparent management of the borough’s administration”.

The Labonté / Vadacchino team are making the abolishment of the local surtax the main focus of this campaign. «It is imperative that while the citizens of LaSalle get involved today and commit themselves to go vote on December 14th, they keep in mind the upcoming 2009 municipal elections. The voters in LaSalle need to act now to ensure that they will have a local elected official and an administration behind them that will give them the best local services without imposing any surtax», concluded Mr. Vadacchino.
