Sunday is our Battle of Atlantic Ceremony at the Old Port in Montreal at the Clock-Tower. There is a bus leaving the Branch by 1pm but by the time you read this, it will be full. The Ceremony starts at 2 pm and after, we have refreshments and entertainment back at the Branch. The Big Hall will be open to all those who are at the Port first. Reserved seats for our Color Party and for special invited Guests only. The Music for this day will be Double Image.
On Friday the 11th, its our annual Bowling Banquet and after the dinner, everyone is welcome for the music with South of Forty. On Saturday the 12th, we have our Annual Dart Banquet with dinner and after the dinner music. On Friday the 18th, the music will be by Double Image. The 25th is a Private party. No Crib on the Day of Battle of Atlantic.
I would like to thank all those who assisted Vera Sherlock in making the Veterans visit from St. Annes a Major success many hours of hard work has to go into making a day like this successful as usual Branch 212 has done it again. Those that picked up the shirts and Caps by mistake, could you bring them to the Branch and leave them at the Bar.
On behalf of the Executive and Membership, I would like to offer my very Deepest Sympathy to the Kershaw Family on the recent death of Edward(Red) Kershaw his brother Bill has been a member of the Branch for many years.
