McHappy Day arrives in the boroughs of LaSalle and Verdun.
May 9 2007 will marks the arrival of the 15th McHappy Day, McDonald’s Canada’s national fundraising event. More than 1,400 McDonald’s restaurants across the country will raise money to support local children’s charities.
“At McDonald’s, we have a long history of giving back to our communities,” said Michel Marchand owner of the Mcdonald’s of the borough. “We bring together our employees, customers, suppliers and friends to raise money for local organizations that are improving the lives of children.”
One dollar from the sale of every Big Mac sandwich, McMuffin sandwich and Happy Meal sold will benefit Camp Wallaby in LaSalle and Toujours Ensemble in Verdun. “We’re proud to be part of this year’s McHappy Day celebrations,” said Patrice Boileau from Camp Wallaby “It is our ultimate goal to help better the lives of children in our community, and we are so happy to partner with a company who shares that goal.”
McDonald’s Canada franchisees and employees will be joined by a variety of special guests, sports and media personalities, politicians and professional entertainers as they roll up their sleeves to work behind the counter in cities and towns across the country.
