Fifth annual general assembly for the UCIM-LaSalle
On the first of May, the UCIM held it’s fifth annual general assembly in the borough of LaSalle. Our borough mayor, Manon Barbe, adressed the members.
She talked about the pride that LaSallers have in their homes, whether it be in maintaining, renovating or beautifying them. The borough must do the same to insure the quality of life of all it’s citizens. This summer, LaSalle will spend 8,9 M$ in the maintenance and rebuilding of roads, sidewalks and other municipal equipment. When you add this to the 4,8 M$ from Montréal and 10,6 M$ from the agglomeration of Montréal in infrastructures, the total amount invested in maintenance and improvement in our borough will be over 25 M$.
«LaSallers are a proud people, so are their elected officials! When your neighbours question you on our management, ask them what importance do they put in the maintenance and good upkeep of their home. We must do the same.
We, at the UCIM, share the same objectives, the same dreams for a borough, a city that is in good shape, where life is good. » said madame Barbe.
Following this, the president of the assembly took in nominations and proceeded with the election of the board of directors for the UCIM-LaSalle. Hélène Gagnon, past president reelected for another mandate, gave us an overview of this years numerous activities.
