LaSalle firefighters organize car wash to benefit Operation Enfant Soleil

Sick children don't leave anyone indifferent and LaSalle firefighters are doing their part to help well known organization Operation Enfant Soleil. You can help them raise as much money as possible by taking part in their car wash, at Fire Station 65, 1300 avenue Dollard, on Saturday, June 2, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

All you have to do is hand over a $10 donation and volunteer firefighters will wash your car. Your $10 contribution will also entitle you to a chance at a number of prizes. All the money raised will go to the charity. The firefighters already have a number of sponsors giving them money or prizes to raffle off.

It was in meeting a seriously ill young boy that prompted them to get involved with Operation Enfant Soleil. When they met 12-year-old Cédrik Deschênes-Migneault, suffering from sinus cancer, yet still so brave and determined to endure his treatment with a smile, they knew they had to do something.

The car wash will take place Saturday, June 2 and the following day, the firefighters will travel to Quebec City to present the money they raised during the Operation Enfant Soleil Telethon.
