Second largest jackpot in Loto-Quebec history
A couple in their early 40s, from LaSalle, Zenovij Pacholuk and his wife Dolores Coffey, parents of a three-year-old daughter, won the second largest prize in Loto-Quebec history, a total of $27 million dollars.

Ukrainian in origin, Zenovij Pacholuk found out that he was the big winner this past Monday, he went to routinely check his three Lotto 6/49 tickets. It was his lucky day, because he had three lucky tickets in his hand. With the first ticket he won $2, with the second, $10 and with the last ticket he hit the jackpot. He didn't even believe it when the Loto employee told him the good news. He called his wife, who in turn was also in shock.
Thrilled but prudent
Zenovij and his wife, both accountants, have been on Cloud Nine ever since they received the magic cheque at the Loto-Quebec offices. The winner was shaking when he held his cheque in his hands. "It's all such a shock. We can't even imagine winning such a huge amount. It hasn't truly hit us yet. We'll certainly be travelling more and planning family activities."
They intend to hire a financial advisor and will take some time to reflect on what they plan to do in the future. "I'll talk to my boss and see what we plan on doing. We will take some vacation before deciding whether or not we intend to continue working," stated Zenovij.

The priority for these parents of a three-year-old girl is to cater to her wishes and take her to Disney World. "We're going to Disneyland to see Mickey Mouse, Cinderella and all the others. That's all we really know for now."

The winning ticket was purchased at Tabagie Supermag, at 50 Saint-Charles, in Beaconsfield. The owner will receive a commission of $270,000, equivalent to 1% of the winnings.
