Celebrating 100 years

Jean Milne Callum celebrated her 100th birthday at her retirement home, at 720 Gamelin, in LaSalle. Mrs. Callum was born in Lochee, Dundee, Scotland on May 29, 1907 and came to Canada in 1921. She married William R. Callum (deceased) in 1928. She was the mother of five children, two of whom are deceased. Mrs. Callum has eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren, step grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The centenarian has lived in LaSalle for the past 38 years. For the occasion, LaSalle-Emard MP, Paul Martin, also stopped by to congratulate her and wish her a very happy birthday.
