Success was achieved at Jeune Aires 2007 Gala

Jeune Aire Gymnastics hosted their annual Gala at Cavalier-de-LaSalle High School where athletes in the recreation and competitive levels had the chance to put on 3 great shows for their family and friends with the theme (Celebrating the Holidays).

The day started with the youngest recreational groups which gave the girls a chance to demonstrate some of the entry level movements. Some of our athletes impressed the audience with demonstrations on Beam and Floor.

Steve Underhill, administrative council President, gave an outstanding speech. Head coach Leyda Jimenez had the crowd in laughter as she introduced the groups while dressing up for every monthly holiday. Some of the holidays included, Canada Day, St-Jean Batiste Day, Labour Day, Valentine’s Day and rocking the house was the New Years party mix performed by Leydas oldest competitive group.

A few of the highlights were routines by Jayne Braults group celebrating Black History Month with their routine Samba Butucada and Stephanie Mckennas recreation group performing the Thriller routine celebrating Halloween. Anick Gascon, Brazil «Carnaval de Rio» had the crowd on their feet as well Stephanie Pinos group with Cup of Life Cinco de Mayo.

The council would like to extend a huge Thank You to the organizers, Leyda Jimenez, Anick Gascon and Natacha Ozbasar. With these ladies, the council and their spouses as well the many volunteers, the Gala was successful.
