LaSalle firefighters help four families live out a dream

Firefighters from Station 65, located at 1300 Dollard Street, welcomed four families and allowed three young boys and a young girl the opportunity to live out a dream: be a firefighter for a day.

The families got to visit the fire station and the fire trucks, got to enjoy a ride in an old fire truck, participated in demonstrations involving ladders and hoses and were even shown how firefighters save people from tall buildings. At the end of the day, they all had a BBQ with the entire team.

The Make a Wish Foundation has been in existence for 20 years and over 10,000 dreams have come true, thanks to their efforts.
