LaSalle will host 2nd Telus Challenge of the Midget AAA League
From the 29th of November to the 2nd December
The second series of the 2007 Telus Challenge , organised by the Midget AAA Hockey League of Quebec, will be taking place from the 29th of November to the 2nd of December at the Jacques-Lemaire arena and at the Dollard-St-Laurent Sports Centre of LaSalle, as well as in the Guy-Crépin arena in Châteauguay and the Sportium in the city of St. Catherine.
The 16 teams will be reunited under the same activity – winning the Telus Challenge Cup. This is a great opportunity for the 320 Midget AAA players to prove their skills before 150 recruiters for the Junior Major and Junior AAA league who will be scrutinizing their gestures and movements.
Each of the 16 teams will play in two games during the first two days. There will be a double programme in four arenas on the first day of the tournament on Thursday, November 29. The matches on the first day of the Challenge will also count towards the classification for the regular season. Only those teams who win their second game on Friday, November 30 and in the following games can move forward to the quarter finals and to the semi-finals on Saturday, December 1. The finals will be played on Sunday, December 2, beginning at 13h30 on the rink of the Jacques-Lemaire arena on Champlain Boulevard in LaSalle.
