Minister Jérôme-Forget announces $1,218,707.00 investment for Riverside Park

The Minister for Finance, president of the Treasury Board and Member of Parliament for Marguerite Bourgeoys riding - Monique Jérôme-Forget - announced a $1,218,707.00 grant to LaSalle Borough for the construction of a soccer-football field at Riverside Park. It should be noted that the City will also contribute to this project by investing $1,249,582.00.

The project is to build a soccer-football field made of a synthetic surface inside the present track and field which will be renovated. In addition, the mini soccer field and the jumping and lancing areas will be relocated. "By contributing to the modernisation of Riverside Park’s installations, the addition of this synthetic surface field will increase sports services in the Borough. This is a very good thing, considering the growing popularity of soccer and football among young people,"said Mrs. Jérôme-Forget.
