11 kids from LaSalle Kyokushin competed in Outremont

On Sunday November 4th 2007, 11 kids from LaSalle Kyokushin Dojo, located on 9021 Airlie, competed in a semi-contact tournament in Outremont. They competed in two categories, kata which is demonstration of technique and kumite, which is sparring (fighting). There were 237 participants from schools all over Quebec. All 11 kids worked hard and some have been training for as long as 3 hours a day starting at 8am on Saturday mornings. They have been coached by Sensei Daniel Coyle and Sempai Jackie Aboukalam. LaSalle Dojo congratulates: Rose Marie Lecchino, Frederic Del Pinto, Jany Lavalee, Amanta Tanti, Alexandre Mondor, Courtney Hargray, Max Bogumazov, Dulce Cayetano, Itzel Cayetano, Anfal Medkour and Mounsif Medkour for participating and showing their warrior spirit. They all brought home medals and trophies. They represented our school and we are proud of them.
