Volunteers in the Limelight !
Moulins d'or 2008
LaSalle is humming with volunteers. Aware of the importance of volunteer efforts in the community, Borough Council wants to express its gratitude to those LaSalle residents who distinguish themselves for their generosity and their desire to improve the lot of their fellow residents. The borough of LaSalle is proud to be getting the 3rd edition of the Moulins d’or awards under way.
The purpose of presenting these awards is to highlight an organization or volunteer who has particularly stood out in its (his/her) activities and work. Eight Moulins d’or will be awarded in the following categories: Culture, Sports, Recreational Activities, Community Activities, Succession, Loyalty, Young Volunteer and Organization. One Moulin d’or will be awarded every month, from January to September 2008. As a token of our recognition, each of the award winners will be presented with a sculpture created especially for the occasion as well as a gold pin. Each of the eight award winners will be featured in Le Messager LaSalle, with a description of the volunteer and that volunteer's accomplishments.
