Crime rate in 2007 went down in LaSalle

Police records show there was a 19% decrease in sexual assaults, a 15% decrease in business theft, a 17% decrease in car theft and a 30% decrease in breaks-ins in offices and homes. The year 2007 began with two murders within a period of three months. Station 13 focuses on prevention. “We are very much visible in schools and in parks. Our socio-community agents are in schools almost every day. In the park, we have patrol officers on bike and we also have junior officers. We have partnerships with organisations that are involved with the youth.”
