Health Exhibition at Children’s World Academy
Children’s World Academy (2241 Ménard) would like to invite the community to their grade 6 Exhibition held on February 28th from 3:30 to 6:30pm.
The students have been working hard on different health issues such as diseases, viruses, phobias, cancer, eating disorders, etc… Students have been inquiring about how individual can keep themselves healthy, the government role in keeping its citizens healthy, preventions, treatments and environmental factors.
In January, the students had a Symposium where many doctors and specialist came to inform the students and teachers on different topics and issues related to health. Dr. Loraine Mazzella informed us about the importance of keeping a healthy brain and diseases related to memory such as Alzheimer. Engineers without borders deepened our knowledge on the importance of water filtration around the world.
McGill Phd student, Carolina Perez, explained the different chemical reactions in foods. Moreover, Mrs. Claire Brown elaborated on research and viruses, Dr. Tinaz Chinoy talked about eating disorders, Dr. Valentino, pediatrician, informed us on vaccinations and government roles, Mrs. Bronwen Powell, Phd student, spoke about deficiency disorders and Mme Louise Brossard, dental hygienist, taught us on the importance of dental hygiene. We really gained more knowledge on medical research and health issues. Now, the students are ready to share all this information and knowledge with you!!!
