Six LaSalle officials are appointed
Six LaSalle Borough Council officials were appointed to take over several functions in 2008 by Montreal Mayor Gérald Tremblay.
LaSalle Mayor Manon Barbe will preside over the commission for mise en valeur du territoire commission, l'aménagement urbain and collective transportation. She also became associate councillor for collective transportation.
City Councillor Richard Deschamps remains as president of the Economic Development Commission of the Agglomeration Council. He will be associate councillor for sports and recreation.
City Councillor Alvaro Farinacci will continue to sit in the permanent commission on major equipment and activities of interest for the agglomeration.
Borough Councillor Lise Zarac was appointed member of the Council Commission on finance, administrative services and human resources.
Borough Councillor Vincenzo Cesari will pursue his work with the Permanent Council Commission on Cultural Development and Quality of Life.
Borough Councillor Ross Blackhurst will keep his position in the Permanent Council Commission for Services to Citizens.
