Marianopolis College awards scholarship to LaSalle resident
Margarita Altankova, a resident of LaSalle, has received a $3,000 Roasters Foundation Award of Excellence entrance scholarship to attend Marianopolis College.
The award recognizes her hard work at École internationale de Montréal. A top student among those admitted this year, Margarita had the highest high school average among students admitted to the Social Science program this year.
Margarita is studying Psychology at Marianopolis and is one of 92 students in the current academic year to receive a scholarship to attend the College. “I thank the Roasters Foundation,” said Marianopolis Director General Sister Françoise Boisvert, CND. “These awards are an important way of recognizing excellence and intellectual curiosity in a new generation of our students.”
The Roasters Foundation has also awarded a $3,000 entrance scholarship to a student in Social Science/Commerce and another in Arts. In addition, it is funding financial aid for 13 students at the private college. Six other students have each received $1,000 entrance scholarships from the Marianopolis Millennium Foundation as part of its mission to support Marianopolis students through scholarships and financial aid programs. The Foundation has further granted $250 scholarships to 70 students.
