Minor Soccer Association
Summer is around the corner and LaSalle Minor Soccer Association ( LMSA ) is getting ready for another season. As the popularity of soccer is growing across the country, the same is happening in LaSalle, with over 2000 players in the House League and Inter City League.
For the first time in LMSA history we will be kicking off our season with 2 AAA teams in the MU14 and FU14 division, with their home opener being May 10th at Riverside Stadium. Also, that day various Inter City teams in the AA and A division will be starting their season.
The House League teams will be starting the season the week of May 26th; schedules will soon be posted on our web site. We are still in the need of volunteers.
With the new club structure introduced by the Federation de Soccer du Quebec, we will be working on developing our coaches and players in the House League and Inter City level over the next 12 months. With our Technical Director for the past 3 years, Lloyd Barker, who played for the Montreal Impact, will be heading the Technical Department once again with 2 new additions. Darko Kolic, former teammate with the Montreal Impact and local coach Junior Peters, who will be working mostly with our goalkeepers.
Information regarding Goalkeeper training and LMSA summer camps will be posted on our website, lasallesoccer.com. I invite the LaSalle community to come out and support our local soccer players for the 2008 season.
