Mexican Delegation Discovers Geomatics in LaSalle

A Mexican delegation visited LaSalle to discover how the Borough uses geomatics in managing its territory. The delegation consisted of the Minister of Administration, the General Manager of Computer Technology and the Projects General Manager from the government of the state of Jalisco. The Québec firm Geomax International, which develops this type of software, guided this delegation to LaSalle, as the Borough makes high-tech use of geomatics in applications such as in the graphic register, zoning and building permits. The Mexican visitors were welcomed at the office of Mayor Manon Barbe, who told the Minister that she would like to see more economic exchanges with Mexico. As a souvenir, the Mayor gave Minister José Luis de Alba González, the head of the delegation, a monograph of the history of Fleming Mill.
