Fun and safety at Vélo Plaisir

The «Journée Vélo Plaisir» brought together 448 young people to Lefebvre Park and to the parking lot of Place Newman commercial centre. This event measures the biking knowledge of children. It's a test that is conducted in an enclosed area. Activities were offered: 9-1-1 assistance, bike inspections, air balloons, “reptilzoo”, make-up sessions, mascots, raffles, etc. Here are the raffle results:

* Two bikes from Foresters ($300.00 each): Parinita Ram and Jayson Benard.

* Five bikes ($200.00 each): Alexandra Del Aguila, Sarah Yahia Zoobir, Sadi Dohakhard, Amine Chahine and Ajay Singh Padda.

* Two bikes from Canadian Tire ($100.00 each): Sepania Seyed-Hosseini and Isidora Antonia Manripuez Silva.

* Eight gift certificates from Angrignon Shopping Centre ($25.00 each): Sohyla Dohakhan, Florence Gendron, Povar Ikhoor Singh, Jonathan Pesce, Ali Nafisa, Patricia Maria Chiru, Émilie Nguyen and Singh Gurvinder.

* 10 bowling games from Mercier Bridge (10 tickets of three games each): J.J. Jarred Saunders, Rovin Abarca Beaubien, Alla Rhammaz, Anthony D’Angelo, Gurleen Kaur, Younes Gherbi, Sean Bedard-Toomer, Alfa Alfadiallo, Amine Mansour and Lucas Legatos.

* Two bike helmets from Police Service: Rababe Boutata and Makeda Vézina.
