Three Kilomaîtres athletes qualify for Summer Nationals
Three Track and Field athletes from the Kilomaîtres de LaSalle Club have qualified for the National Championships.
Caitlin Lee and Joseph Brunetta will be going to the Lgbion Games for Juveniles athletes, to be held in Sherbrooke on August 8, 9. Nicole Riley will participate in the Canadian Juniors in Abbottsford, BC, on July 26.
Caitlin qualified at the Ian Hume Meet in Sherbrooke, on July 14, for two events. She cleared 1.62 M in High Jump and totalled 3308 points in the Hexathlon (6 events). This is her first National Championship and she is a Provincial and Jeux du Québec champion.
Joseph Brunetta qualified at the Corsaire Chaparal Meet on July 12 with a high jump of 1.90 M. He won the bronze last year at the Legions.
Nicole Riley high jumped 1.65 M, also at Corsaire Chaparal. She has medaled three times at the Legions and placed sixth at the US High School Championships in New York.
Other Kilomaîtres athletes finishing top three in their categories, events at Corsaire Chaparal were Jorden Savoury, Brenna Lee, Keisha Lamptey, Amanda Pierlet, Brandon Horsford, Alex Szuba, Lucanus Robinson, Tyrone Riley and Caitlin Lee.
