Antoine Kaluzny, independent candidate
LaSalle resident Antoine Kaluzny decided to try his chance as an independent candidate in LaSalle-Émard riding and run in the October 14 elections.
Antoine Kaluzny was born in Normandy and did his primary and secondary schooling in France. He is married and has four children. In 1972, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Munich’s <@Ri:>Université Libre Ukrainienne<@$p:>. A seasoned businessman, he has plenty of business experience - construction, sales, leasing and property management (duplex, triplex and apartment buildings) - in LaSalle-Émard. Between 1968 and 1998, he was a professor of Greek Philosophy and of Human Rights at the Cégep of Saint-Hyacinthe. In 1964 and 1965, he was with the Canadian Coast Guard working on the Sir John A. MacDonald an ice-breaker vessel and on the Labrador in the North Sea.
His keywords are: contact, dialogue, and negotiation with people. He fights for a society that is more open and welcoming to everyone and is in favour of the immediate and complete withdrawal of Canadian troops from Afghanistan.
