LaSalle asks for additional bus routes
Borough Council has asked the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) to improve bus service and to add bus routes, as well as provide a shuttle service for seniors in LaSalle to encourage residents to use LaSalle’s public transportation facilities.
The resolution requests the STM to improve the bus routes serving LaSalle by increasing the frequency, improving the reliability, and revising certain routes. The immediate improvements being requested cover lines 106, 110 and 195 in particular, and that which serves Cégep André-Laurendeau.
LaSalle is requesting additional bus routes in order to promote the fluid movement of public transportation going in the direction of Angrignon and Lionel-Groulx subway stations.
A shuttle service was also requested for seniors in the community and for those living in residences; as mentioned in the survey, the shuttle service will serve the various places that are frequently visited by seniors such as: Angrignon shopping centre, LaSalle Hospital, Angrignon metro, the CLSC, L'Octogone library, Place Newman, Aquadôme, post office, Henri-Lemieux centre, City Hall and the parc des Rapides.
