Why is Antoine Kaluzny running as an independent candidate?

Antoine Kaluzny is running as an independent candidate in the electoral district of LaSalle-Émard. He said that he is running for office at the request of numerous residents in the riding.

“Thanks to my 25 years of experience as a militant in the Liberal Party of Canada, residents have asked me to run for elections in LaSalle-Émard”, he said. The independent candidate believes that Canada is heading towards a minority government. “Independent candidates don’t have to follow the platform of any political party. They have the power to make a difference in the balance of interests. Neither Mr. Dion nor Mr. Harper is going to be my boss. Only the people of LaSalle-Émard are my bosses. As an independent deputy, I shall report only to them as far as my decisions and actions are concerned.”

Antoine Kaluzny is inviting residents of the riding to vote for the person whom they think is the best candidate. “I humbly leave that decision to the intelligence of each voter in LaSalle-Émard.”
