LaSalle residents are invited to give blood

On Thursday, October 23, residents are invited to participate in great numbers in the blood donation campaign organised by LaSalle’s Optimist Club. This campaign is being held in collaboration with the Angrignon shopping centre and <@Ri:>Le Messager de LaSalle.<@$p:>

Under the leadership of honourary president Louis Mercier, general director of <@Ri:>Hebdos Transcontinental<@$p:>, the event will take place in the Angrignon shopping centre, 7077 Newman Boulevard. Blood donors will be expected between the hours of 13h15 and 20h30 (from 1:15 pm to 8:30 pm); organisers are hoping to welcome at least 140 donors.

Héma-Québec and its partners will be present in LaSalle during this special campaign. In Quebec, a person is in need of blood every 80 seconds. To meet this need, at least 1000 blood collections a day must be sent to all the hospitals of the province. Maintaining the blood reserves for Quebecers at sufficient levels depends entirely on the generosity of people who desire to share their greatest wealth - health.
