Players, coaches and parents of the Cobras Verdun-LaSalle
It’s with pride that I accepted the mandate of being the President of the Cobras Verdun-LaSalle for the next two years. With the support of the four associations; Côte St Luc, Westmount, Verdun and LaSalle, I will try to offer the best training supervision to double letters players. We will expend a lot of effort to recruit the best coaches and to implement activities for the benefit of the player’s development and be as competitive as possible.
We all have a passion for hockey, its part of our culture but we must keep in mind, it’s only a game! Have the sport spirit means to practice a sport respecting the rules, the game spirit and the opponents. The important is not to win or loose but the way to play the game.
During the season I will recruit competent people for the benefit of the players, so everyone, players, coaches and parents have fun when they come to the arena. I personally have many years of experience in minor hockey as head coach and assistant coach within the Couguars and the Cobras organization. Because of my experience has an elite players with the LaSalle Cyclones, I know the discipline required to improve our talent. Today, I am VP operation in the printing industry managing a budget of 25 million dollars. Therefore, the budget of the organization will be follow very closely for the benefit of the players. I am also involve with the Old Timers Tournament of LaSalle collecting funds for regional associations. So a large part of my life has been spent in Arenas.
I take this opportunity to thank Mr Yves Lacelle and his team of volunteers for their involvement within the last few years. I believe they accomplished an excellent job and I will try to continue in the same way. I wish you a good hockey season and to the pleasure of seeing you at the arena.
