Dazzling Dinner-Dance
Volunteer Tribute 2008
On Friday, October 24, LaSalle Borough Council welcomed over 800 guests at its annual Volunteer Tribute gala, held at Sorrento reception hall. "This dinner dance provided us with an opportunity to thank the Borough's volunteers who generously give their time, while putting their heart and soul into stimulating the activities of LaSalle's associations," pointed out Mayor Manon Barbe.
The guests were personally welcomed by Mayor Manon Barbe; Lise Zarac, Member of Parliament for LaSalle-Émard; City Councillors Alvaro Farinacci and Richard Deschamps; as well as Borough Councillors Vincenzo Cesari, Ross Blackhurst and Laura Palestini. The elected officials were delighted to be able to meet these volunteers who devote their time to serving their community.
Moulins d’or 2008 award winners
To close the <@Ri:>Moulins d’or 2008<@$p:>, Pierre Bruneau, the popular host of TVA news, announced the Organization award winner of this 3rd edition: Groupe des aidants de LaSalle. The members of this organization will be welcomed at Borough Hall during November and will also be spotlighted in a special feature to be published in the Messager LaSalle newspaper.
At the Volunteer Tribute evening, the LaSalle borough launched the 4th edition of the <@Ri:>Moulins d’or awards<@$p:>. Registration forms are available on the Borough's website, at ville.montreal.qc.ca/lasalle, in the Moulins d’or section.
