Volunteers in the Limelight!
Moulins d’or 2009
The borough of LaSalle is proud to be getting the 4th edition of the <@Ri:>Moulins d’or awards<@$p:> under way. The purpose of presenting these awards is to highlight an organization or volunteer that has particularly stood out in its (his/her) activities and work. The format for rewarding the 2008 winners will be adopted, once again, in presenting the 2009 awards.
Eight <@Ri:>Moulins d’or<@$p:> will be awarded in the categories: Culture, Sports, Recreational Activities, Community Activities, Succession, Loyalty, Young Volunteer and Organization. One <@Ri:>Moulin d’or<@$p:> will be awarded every month, from January to October 2009. As a token of our recognition, each of the award winners will be presented with a sculpture created especially for the occasion as well as a gold pin. In addition, each of the eight award winners will be featured in Le Messager LaSalle, with a description of the volunteer and that volunteer's accomplishments.
When picking up the nomination papers and forms from your association, take note of the information needed to nominate a volunteer or organization. You may consult the borough's website (ville.montreal.qc.ca/lasalle) or phone at 514 367-6361. The forms must be sent out or handed in to Borough Hall by Friday, December 5, 2008 at the very latest.
