Jessica Neilson’s parents weary with worry

Robena and Donald Neilson, parents of 25-year old mother Jessica Neilson who has been missing since December 8 are weary with worry. Numerous searches have proved futile and the Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance.

Even the white 1994 Acura Integra with licence plate 284 WNF has not been found. Jessica Neilson is a young mother with no past record. She left her LaSalle house on December 8 to join some friends. She has been living in LaSalle for a long time with her live-in partner and two children: her two-and-a-half year old girl and her boyfriend’s 10-year old boy.

Since her disappearance, her parents have been living a mystery. Robena and Donald Neilson have lived in LaSalle for 23 years but now live in Noyan, near the city of Lacolle. According to Jessica’s father, “we work together in the same insurance brokerage company in Place Alexis-Nihon. On December 8, I saw Jessica at about 4:00 in the afternoon and everything seemed fine. She went home at 7:30 pm, but left again to join her friends and never came back. We have no clue, no idea, nothing. Thousands of ideas come and go in my head and it’s difficult to go on living under these circumstances. I know the police will call if they find something. But I communicate with them every day and they have nothing concrete to offer me. It’s frustrating because we seem to be going around in circles, but I have every confidence in them.”

The Christmas holidays were no fun for the Neilson family. “It was terrible but we made an effort to celebrate Christmas for the two children. The 10-year old boy has been asking questions and the two-and-a-half year old girl is looking for her mother. We are thinking of all possible scenarios, including the worst which we try not to think about... but we have hope.”

Could Jessica have been depressed and left her home intentionally? “That would be totally out of character. We see her every day at work and everything was going well for her family and herself. No banking transaction was registered in her account.”

Jessica Neilson has an athletic stature and a mole high on her forehead. She is 25 years old, stands 1.77 m (5 feet 9 inches) and weighs 72 kilos (160 pounds). She has shoulder-length brown hair and bluish-grey eyes. On the day she disappeared, she was wearing black pants, a long-sleeved beige blouse, black winter boots with glitter stones on the side, and an imitation fur winter coat. She was carrying a black and gray handbag.
