Hank Palmer is “out run” by Macrozonaris
At McGill University’s All-Comers Track and field Meet
Sprinter Hank Palmer of LaSalle had to bow down to Nicolas Macrozonaris of Laval in the 60-metre athletic race during the McGill University All-Comers Track and Field Meet held on February 16.
This much-awaited competition took place in the Richard Tomlinson Fieldhouse campus of McGill University. Palmer was truly beaten but managed to retain second place at 6.75 seconds; Macrozonaris on the other hand achieved a performance at 6.64 seconds, qualifying him for the world championships in Valencia, Spain from the 7th to the 9th March this year.
A resident of LaSalle, 22-year old Hank Palmer is working hard in hopes of making it to a spot in the world’s best 16 sprinters who will compete in the Olympic Games in China from the 8th to the 24th of August 2008.
