Kevin Challenger
Kevin Challenger joins Edmonton Eskimos
After excelling in football during the last five seasons with the Eagles of Boston College, Kevin Challenger signed a contract with the Calgary Stampeders but was traded to the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League.
The Stampeders chose Challenger in the second round of the 2007 waivers but the the pass receiver who stands 5'8'' and weighs 177 pounds decided to return to Boston College to conclude his last season with the powerful NCAA organisation.
With the Eagles of Boston College during the last season, Challenger captured 46 passes for a score of 551 yards, as well as scoring five touchdowns. His team won in the Citrus Bowl in December 2007, thanks to gains made against the Spartans of Michigan State in a match held in Orlando, Florida.
After playing with the Warriors of LaSalle, Challenger became a sensation with the Cheetahs of Vanier College in the AAA college league. To make it to Boston College in 2003, he obtained a full scholarship which covered board and lodging, tuition and other school expenses.
