Kevin Challenger in Edmonton Eskimos training camp
The Eskimos of Edmonton have set up their training camp in Clarke Field in this Alberta city. Pass receiver Kevin Challenger of LaSalle is training with them and aiming for a promising professional career. He wears the # 84 – same number he wore when he was with the Eagles of Boston College.
The 5'8''and 178 pound athlete just finished a productive career with the Eagles of Boston College. In four years, Challenger captured 110 winning passes totalling 1,315 yards and 12 touchdowns. Last season, the Eagles earned major honours at the Citrus Bowl, thanks to a victory over the Spartans of Michigan State during a match held in Orlando, Florida.
He was claimed by the Calgary Stampeders during the second round in 2007 but he was exchanged to join the Eskimos of Edmonton during the most recent draft of the Canadian Football League.
After a fruitful term with the Warriors of LaSalle in minor football, Kevin Challenger became a sensation with the Cheetahs of Vanier College in the AAA college level. When he got into Boston College in 2003, he obtained a full scholarship that covered tuition, dorm fees, books, etc.
