Hank Palmer wins medals in France
LaSalle sprinter Hank Palmer performed impressively in France, winning numerous medals.

After winning the Silver in the 100-metre competition in Nantes for the Meeting National D1 Nant'Haies Atlantic, he was just as brilliant in the 100 m and 200 m races in Élancourt. In Nantes, Palmer made it to the second step of the podium, scoring 1/100 of a second behind the Gold medallist. “I could have done better. He overtook me after 20 metres; I tried to keep up with him but I missed it by just one centimetre”, explained the Quebec sprinter who is hoping to fulfill criteria for the Olympics so he could make it to the Peking games. “I’d like to make the A + criteria which is 10.12 seconds.” For the Élancourt race, Palmer collected two victories. He ran the 100 m race in 10.34 seconds and the 200 m race in 20.99. It was the second time he made it under the 21- second limit in 2008.

On June 13, Palmer won the Gold medal in Namur event. He did the 100 metre sprint in 10.48 seconds. He landed in second place in the 100 m race of the Meeting Lagardere Athle Tour du Stade Sotteevillais 76, held in the Sotteville-lès-Rouen race, in France.
