Christopher Hulme in Nova Scotia for ultimate combat
LaSalle native shows perfect record of 3-0
LaSalle’s 23-year old Christopher Hulme has excelled in kickboxing and in Brazilian jiu-jitsu for the longest time. Last winter, he signed a contract with TKO, the largest Canadian ultimate combat organisation which took him to the arena of the Bell Centre last February, scoring a victory. He recorded a perfect score of 3-0 and will engage in his next combat for the <@Ri:>East Coast Fight Production<@$p:> event to be held on August 9 at New Glasgow (Nova Scotia). He will fight Jason Rorison who also holds a record of 3-0.
The LaSalle fighter is represented by Fight Sports Management. With his new ultimate combat adventure, Christopher Hulme fulfilled a great childhood dream.“When I was 10 or 11 years old, I would watch the UFC combats on television and I told myself that one day, it will be me. I never lost hope and I trained vigorously hoping that one of these days, I will have the opportunity to fight among the best. My training and my preparation have taken all my time. I have already won in amateur combats. I won a kickboxing competition by Interbox where I accomplished a KO in 29 seconds in the first round.”
More determined than ever, Christopher Hulme is aiming high…very high. “I’m young and I still have a lot to learn but I work hard everyday. I have every intention of rising within the ranks and to challenge anyone who crosses my path in order that I become a champion one day. I have changed my lifestyle; people don’t understand how people can be devoted to this sport. I have sacrificed a lot and this sport has changed my outlook in life. In the beginning, I found that difficult; today, however, I am proud of what I have accomplished and I deserve some luck.”
Christopher Hulme is relying on competent trainers and on the support of his parents and sponsors. “My parents have always believed in me and have accepted the fact that this is my sport.”
Christopher Hulme recently obtained his diploma in construction electricity.
