Short Interruptions in Water Supply on Certain Streets
August 4-22
Over the next three weeks, Montréal will be carrying out work on the pipelines of the water supply system along a number of roads in the borough of LaSalle. Aqua Data, the company that will be doing this work, will have to frequently shut off the water; however, these interruptions will be very brief, and barely a few minutes each time.
Once the water is turned back on again, it may be discoloured. Just let it run a few minutes and it will become clear. Before doing any laundry, be careful to check that the water is very clear so as not to stain any clothing.
Should you stain your clothes while washing them with this discoloured water, contact the Public Works Department at 514-367-1000, extension 6876, and leave your name, address and phone number, so that the Borough can provide you with a special detergent. In the meantime, let the water run until it turns clear again, then rinse out your clothes in clear water, to remove all the discoloured water, and keep them soaking in clear water.
The work will be carried out on the following avenues: 5e, 6e, 7e, 8e, 9e, 11e, 39e, 40e, 43e, 65e, 66e, 68e and 75e. The following streets will be affected: Alepin, Armel, Bélanger, Bernard, Bouvier, Centrale, D’Amour, Daoust, de Cabano, des Oblas, Dupras, Eastman, Gervais, Godbout, Juliette, Marie-Claire, Monette, Pagé, Pauline, Préville, Rancourt, Renée, Riverview, Strathyre, Sylvestre and Thelma.
