Gas leak leads to several problems
At about 11:45 am on Monday, June 15, a 16-inch gas pipe with a 350-load was accidentally severed by workers re-surfacing a pavement under a ferry bridge using heavy machinery on St. Patrick Street near Vézina Street. The accident led to several service interruptions and delayed vehicle and pedestrian traffic as well as interrupted boat services on the Lachine Canal, not to mention ferry operations, bike paths, and area gas services connected to nearby valves.
