Kevin Challenger shines with the Eagles of Boston College
Formerly with the Warriors of LaSalle
After having excelled with the Bantam Warriors and Midgets of LaSalle, LaSalle-born receiver Kevin Challenger is now pursuing his career with the Eagles of Boston College. Out of nine games this season, the 5'10 feet athlete weighing 178 pounds captured 37 passes for 416 yards and scored four touchdowns. Twenty-four year old Challenger wears number 84 for the Eagles of Boston College (Conference Atlantic Coast) and last weekend, he captured six passes for 78 yards in a reverse match of 21-14 against Wake Forest.
After a fruitful term with the Bantam Warriors and Midget of LaSalle, Challenger proved to be a sensation with the Cheetahs of Vanier for the AAA college circuit. He led the circuit in several categories with 11 touchdowns and catches totaling 520 yards. He also excelled as a returns kicker.
At Boston College, he did not play in his first season. The following year, he took part in seven matches and it was during the last season that he was put to work. When he was younger, Challenger also played baseball.
Challenger would like to eventually play in the Canadian Football League. Why not with the Alouettes of Montreal ?
