Mysterious shots fired and a pedestrian hurt

Two incidents took place in the LaSalle borough. Mysterious shots were fired on 80th Avenue, on Tuesday, March 13 and a 75-year-old pedestrian was injured by a truck on Newman Blvd on Thursday, March 15.

On Tuesday, March 13, residents of 80th Avenue called 911 to report having heard something resembling gun shots. When police arrived on the scene, they found nothing. Later on that same evening however, police found a young man at a hospital, being treated for a gun shot. The young man refused to cooperate with the police.

In other news, around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, a 75-year-old man was injured by a truck turning right on Newman Blvd. The man suffered serious injuries.
